This is the home of the aspiring writer and YouTuber D. M. Spence (Or Dave S on YouTube). This blog will give you behind the scenes access to my videos, including an insight into how I write, edit and create my videos, posts about different topics ranging from an analysis of theological and atheological arguments, to how rigorous scientific, philosophical and historical research is done and will be the epicentre of my three-pronged analysis of Christian apologetics.
For the last few months, I’ve been thinking about branching out beyond YouTube. This is not to say that I have in any way fallen out of love with YouTube or anything of the sort, but I’ve just wanted to provide different content for those interested in all things to do with The Great Debate. So this blog will not replace my YouTube channel. Far from it! This blog will supplement and in my ways enhance my YouTube channel to give you a more complete insight into my work, as well as getting sneak previews and never before seen content that you won’t find anywhere else!
What’s more, I thought it would be a good idea to give everyone who is interested in my work, a chance to see what I get up to when I’m not on YouTube. And perhaps the most important thing to share, is the fact that I’m in the process of writing several papers for peer-review ranging from the omnipotence paradox, to an analysis of the minimal fact approach as it relates to the resurrection of Jesus.
The purpose of these papers will be so that I can eventually work towards completing a PhD by publication in theology. Then, once this has been completed, I will then publish my first book, which will be a┬átour de force relating to three components of Christianity: the existence of God, the resurrection and whether Jesus is the Jewish Messiah. During this time, I will continue to make more videos on YouTube, but the biggest change will come in the near future when I start attending, moderating and participating in formal debates, both online and in real-life. So this is the start of an exciting journey, so hopefully you’ll be with me every step of the way!
